Chaga is not traditionally categorized as an adaptogen, but has many adaptogenic qualities. Growing in the colder regions of the globe on Birch trees, this mushroom has a high polysaccharide count which works to stimulate the immune response — in addition to being rich in antioxidants, it is also antimicrobial, antiinflammatory and antiviral. A high antioxidant content helps to reverse oxidative stress that can influence anxiety. Our chaga is derived from the fruiting body and is hot water extracted for maximum bioavailability. Hot water extraction is the only clinically validated method for breaking the polysaccharides out of the indigestible cell walls.
